What is the Qualification Required For CO?

Following are the qualifications required to become a CO Officer.

  • Candidate must be an Indian citizen
  • Candidate should be physically and mentally fit.
  • Must have graduated from a recognized university
  • The age limit is between 21 to 44 years.
  • Height is a factor for both males and females: the male candidate should be 168cm and the female candidate should be 155cm.
  • The minimum chest size required for men is 84 cm and the minimum chest expansion is 5 cm.
  • Candidate should be able to speak and write the mother tongue of the state.

Circle Officer Salary Structure

They are paying circle officers as per Pay-Band-29300 – 34800, Grade Pay Rs. 4800/- as per 6th Pay Commission. Additionally, various allowances (DA, HRA, etc.) are given by the government. However, in the case of state governments, the salary structure varies from state to state.
