Full Form of CA

CA stands for chartered accountant. It is a one of the profession of banking field. CA is an international accounting designation granted by accounting professionals in many country. But in the United States their is no CA , but the equivalent to the CA designation is CPA (certified public accountant).

Indian CAs are regulated by ICAI, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Currently, there are more than 2.70 000 CAs operating in India. They work in all areas of business and finance. It also includes financial and public management, taxation, accounting and auditing.

Roles And Responsibilities of Chattered Accountant (CA)

Roles and Responsibilities of a CA candidate is a very risky job. Below are the duties and responsibilities of CA regular basis.

  • Chartered accountants have to work closely with the tax department. In other words, tax planning, client engagement, special projects, etc. are easy to understand.
  • A chartered accountant required to communicate with the staff for income tax preparation and planning.
  • Duty of chartered accountant is to represent clients who have IRS, state or other audits.
  • Chartered accountant review all the completed tax forms periodically.
  •  To research and resolve all tax and accountings
  • It is essential for regular monitoring and analysis of financial statements.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong relationship with a client through ongoing communication and exceptional service is imperative.

Eligibility Criteria For Becoming A Chartered Account

Candidates who want to apply for CA need to enroll in ICAI for CPC course. Only registered candidates are eligible for CA exam. CA Eligibility Criteria are as follows.

  • The first hurdle of the applicants, should compulsorily have completed their 10th and 12th level qualifying examination from a recognized board of education or similar examination.
  • Candidates who have passed graduation or post graduation in commerce with minimum 55% marks are eligible for CA CPT exam.
  • Now, applicants with either Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in non-commerce stream should have minimum 60 percent marks in all subjects. And they are exempted from appearing in the entry level examination.
  • The applicant after completing the CA Foundation Course, before CA Final Examination .they must worked as an Article Assistant for three years

How to Become a Chartered Accountant (CA).

The process of becoming a CA requires a lot of in-depth study and preparation. Those who want to do CA program have to start their preparation at the very first stages.

  • CA Foundation

CA Foundation course is the first entry level course for Chartered Accountancy CA. Both those who have appeared and written the 12th class exam can write the CA Foundation exam. However, graduates or post-graduates cannot write this exam.

After completing the CA Foundation Course next stage is CA Intermediate course. Graduates and Post Graduates from CA background can enroll in CA Intermediate courses. After 9 months of foundation course students can enroll for intermediate courses.
